Lisa Henry has a BA in ceramics from UC Santa Barbara and graduate level work in technical theater. She worked in the exhibits department for the Santa Barbara Natural History Museum and Monterey Bay Aquarium, had a career as a graphic designer and then retrained in ceramics and sculpture. This led to working as a studio assistant to Delesprie, a professional monument sculptor and instructor.
I teach solid foundations and techniques to help my students be successful with minimal struggle.
She has been fully immersed in the world of clay for the last 9 years. After being juried in as a resident artist at Studio Channel Islands in Camarillo, CA, she has been teaching hand building to adults for 4 years.

As Lisa’s daughter she was eager to use her skills to take Hello Clay Studio to the next level. During quarantine she's been busy taking on the roles of resident photographer, designer, and social media manager.
In her free time you can find Naomi baking, cooking and brainstorming new projects for our ceramics classes. She is still new to hand building, but she's had a blast applying her illustration skills to her ceramics.
